Year end masquerade party at zone 7
Date: 29 dec 2007
Time: 7pm
Venue: Zone 7 RC Multi-purpose hall
This is one interesting party to start off 2008.
All the organising committee- zone 7 members and Frontier YeC members were asked to wear colourful wigs to commemorate the event.
But this event is not only about partying, theres' also a flee market going on at the same time. This is a exceptionally good chance for the residents to interact with one another and at the same time able to make them more aware of the organising commitee-their activities.
Thus this might interest them to join the commitee !
I enjoyed face painting the most and the crowd agrees since the queue for
face painting is the longest!
followed by the
balloon sculpturing, popcorn and
ice-kachang stall.
NOw....what is a masquerade party if there is no dressed up residents?
NO fear, since many childrens took up the roles!
Some dressed up as fairies, cowboy, superman and even a bumble bee!
Together with the best performers and best comedian host to grace this event; This event is one of a kind.
It is a memorable one.
I'm looking forward towards 2008 ! =)

The Zone 7 Year-End Costume Masquerade PartyDate: 29 dec 2007
Time: 7pm
Venue: Zone 7 RC Multi-purpose hall
This year, the Zone 7 RC has decided to usher in the new year with a refreshing masquerade party. By 7pm, the multi-purpose hall and void-decks at Blk 661B were flooded with residents who are eagerly waiting for the fun and excitement to begin. The party included a lucky draw with attractive prizes to be won as well as food (ice kachang, popcorn, etc) and contests for all. There were activities for all walks of life - wine appreciation for the adults, sand painting for the kids as well as Rubik's Cube challenge for the intellectually gifted.
We have also gained much insights on organising future community events through inspiring sharing sessions with some of the RC members.
Through the event, we have realised that the costume masquerade party would not have been successful without:
1) the commitment of enthusiastic & passionate RC members
2) the enthusiasm of supportive & spontaneous residents
3) And of course, who can forget the glittering wigs that added much colour to the party.
As the party drew closer to an end, we could almost see the reluctance and disappointment on the residents' faces. Sadly, all good things come to an end. Yet, in the eyes of many residents, this is not the end and it will never be. It is only the beginning. The beginning of numerous fun-filled activities that await them in 2008.
So my friends, let us join Zone 7 RC in welcoming the arrival of 2008 (soon).
May all RCs and our YEC prosper in years to come!

Xmas Party 2007Date: 22nd Dec 2007
Time: 7-10pm
Venue: Zone 12 RC Multi-purpose hall
This kind of activity is totally new to me. In our country, we seldom have such parties with the communities. Often we simply stay at home having dinner with the whole family and watching TV program while chatting. That evening, the spot was really hot. I helped to wrap the prizes and keep the children in order during the game. Seeing the smile on the children’s face, I felt so happy. From this party, I got to know more about Singaporeans’ lifestyle and understand their culture better. And I chatted with YEC members and got to be more familiar with several of them. I’m still looking forward to the next events…… I would like to communicate with other YEC members better and make more friends.

Aloha Xmas Party @ zone 12Date: 22 dec 2007
Time: 7pm
Venue: Zone 12 RC Multi-purpose hall
This memorable date marks the 3rd successful collaboration between Frontier YEC and zone 12 RC.
Without fail, each year the event have manage to grasp the christmas spirit of the neighbourhood with many themes, among which this years' theme was Hawaiian Christmas. Once again, YEC has been put in charge of games and we have done ourselves proud.
It was a wet Saturday evening.
Yet it does not dampen our christmas and party spirit!
Soon the whole multipurpose hall is filled with smiles and laughter of the residents and the organising committee.
Games planned by YEC have been accepted warmly by the residents both childrens and adults. Smiles on the faces of winners, participants, organising committee and also the audience symbolises that it was another successful event.
I wish that this will continue in the future events.

Team bonding event on 6th Dec
Date: 6 Dec 2007
Time: 7-10pm
Venue: Frontier CC Hall
That was the 1st time we met with the YEC members. I was very excited. The game we played was fun. We enjoyed solving the problems together in the game and cooperating to compete with other YEC, although we even didn’t know each other’s name. That game indeed helped a lot regarding the team bonding. During the free time, we each introduced ourselves. The YEC members were not as high or active as I thought, but they were kind, friendly and warm-hearted. That made me looking forward to attend the following activities with them. The happy memory started to form from then on……………
